Zone Diet Software
As far as diets go the Zone diet is a little more complicated than simply counting
calories or hitting the treadmill. The Zone diet relies on a careful balance
of carbohydrates, proteins and monosaturated fats. Dr. Barry Sears, the inventor
of the diet has concocted a ratio of 40-30-30. By carefully consuming your calories
spread out at 40% carbohydrates, 30% fat and 30% protein anyone can achieve
a healthier more natural diet. However carefully monitoring food intake in relation
to a ratio isn’t what most dieters are used to. Therefore, software has been
designed to make this task easier for the average Zone diet follower.
If a Zone dieter wishes to eat a turkey sandwich for lunch at the office, all
he or she has to do is enter the ingredients of the sandwich into the program
and the software will let you know the appropriate portions of each to make
the meal more balanced and keep the dieter in tthe Zone. The Zone diet software
can also give you suggestions on how to balance out a meal if it does not conform
to the ratio. For example if your breakfast is lacking in the necessary protein,
the software may suggest replacing one non-protein item with a couple eggs.
This function can help a dieter continue to eat their regular daily meals, simply
by changing the portions slightly.
