Leg

Great legs are a good way to get ahead in life, or even just to get a cab. However, getting gorgeous gams takes a little more work than just walking around. Serious fitness folk turn to these leg exercise for strength and shaping.

Leg Squats

  • It is very important to do all of these exercises with the maximum of caution. While the human body is quite resilient, a slight miscue could lead to severe injury or strain.
  • Get in a comfortable upright stance making sure your feet are shoulder width apart. Your toes should either be directed straight ahead or at least slightly outward, pointing inward could lead to serious injury.
  • Focus your vision straight ahead. Do not look around the gym, although there may be attractive people around, you could lose your balance resulting in injury.
  • Put a weight squarely on your trapizius and shoulders then grip the bar, comfortably with your hands slightly wider than the width of your shoulders.
  • Keeping your heels placed squarely on the floor, take deep breath and move your backside back and downward. Never start this exercise by bending your knees.
  • Continue moving downward bending the knees, but watch out not to allow your knees to move forward too far. Doing so will put strain on your knees.
  • When the thighs are parallel let out a deep breath and go back to the starting position. Never ever move sideways this will damage your knees and thighs.
  • This is not an exercise for aspiring Mary Hart’s. If you want to lose weight in your legs you have to do lots of cardio. I know we all hate cardio but it has to be done. Leg stretches will only build muscle in your legs.
