Loofah scrub
A loofah scrub is exfoliation with a sponge made from the fibrous matter of
the loofah, a vegetable in the gourd family. A loofah scrub uses a loofah sponge
in combination with sea salt, warm almond or avocado oil to exfoliate and improve
circulation.
The loofah sponge is sometimes made into a cloth or mitt and exfoliates the
skin, sloughing off dead skin cells. The loofah’s textured surface rubs away
the dead skin cells, the salt scrub containing sea salt polishes the skin, and
the oils moisturize the skin and protect it from moisture loss.
