How do you have Fango therapy?

The process by which you undergo Fango therapy is relatively straightforward, being reminiscent of a typical mud bath with two phases.

Phase 1:

  • The person lies down on a table and mud is splattered over them
  • The mud is evened out so that it is all over the body
  • A black canvas is wrapped around the body to keep the heat in
  • A heavy blanket is placed over the person

Phase 2:

  • The person is unwrapped and gets off the table
  • A warm thermal bath is run for the person to lie in and relax
