Shoulder

Feel like the weight of the world is resting on your shoulders? Well, some shoulder exercise should make bearing that burden just a little bit easier. Plus the ladies love a man that can carry an entire tree on this back like Sylvester Stallone in Rocky IV when he’s training in Siberia for a boxing match with Dolph Lungdren. move your joints through their full range of motion at least every day. This does not include your daily activities.

There are many simple shoulder exercises you can do to get the perfect set of ‘blades’. Just make sure you do proper stretches and a little light cardio before. This prevents injury and is just plain good for you.

Shoulder Press

· This is a mainstay for the shoulder builder. This exercise primarily works the deltoids. You can do this on a machine or using free weights. If you are just beginning start with the machine as there is less chance for injury. Once you’ve got the hang of it switch to dumbbells or barbells. This will allow your movement to be more natural and it will garner better results. Also, try not to lock your elbows. This is extremely bad for your joints.

Front Raise

· This shoulder exercise is not going to blow anyone’s mind at the gym but it is a great workout to give your shoulders a ‘total’ look. Anyone who knows bodybuilding will give you props for this one. Again you can do this one with alternating dumbbells, or you can use a cable machine.

Upright Row

· The upright row is a great exercise for beginners. You’ll be able to see results within a week. It works several muscle groups at the same time. This one works best with a barbell or, again, with the cable machine. At the highest range of motion be sure to hold the exercise for one beat. This will yield maximum results.
