What is a low fat diet
A low fat diet is a diet that contains foods that are chosen purposely for
the fact that they contain low amounts of fat, whether they are saturated or
unsaturated etc.
There is no specific low fat diet plan; rather it advocates the idea of choosing
healthy foods that are low in saturated fats especially.
Also foods that are high in sugar are often high in fat. Excess sugar for those
of us who are less active than athletes (for which sugar can provide a quick
source of energy) easily converts to fat. The effect of sugar on a low fat diet
can be very negative as the sugar will stay in your body and convert to fat
if you do not exercise regularly.
