Vegetarian High Protein Diet:
The high protien vegetarian diet is sometimes recommended to people who have
diabetes, hypoglycemia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease.
The aim of most high protein vegetarian diets is to eliminate refined carbohydrates,
such as sugar, white rice, white bread and crackers from the diet, and replace
them with fiber-rich whole fruits, vegetables, brown rice, and products made
from whole wheat flour. The goal is often to identify the types of carbohydrates
that can trigger hunger pangs or that have a tendency to increase body fat and
eliminate them from the diet.
