South Beach Diet

Working as a cardiologist at that time, Dr. Agatston developed the South Beach Diet as a dietary program that did not emphasize changes in a person’s appearance but rather as a program that would aid in the prevention of heart and vascular problems associated with obesity. This diet soon became a hit in South Florida and its regional popularity spread nationwide with the release of Dr. Agatston’s book, The South Beach Diet: The Delicious, Doctor-Designed, Foolproof Plan for Fast and Healthy Weight Loss. Now people like former American president, Bill Clinton, and legendary singer/actress/performer, Bette Midler, has been singing the praises of this diet.
