Detox Diet
The premise behind the detox diet is simple. Don’t eat a lot of processed food,
which ay contain chemicals that are unnatural are hard for your body to process
and whose effects linger for a long time after you’ve eaten. However, most of
the detox diet’s main boosters claim that before you begin to change your lifestyle
and your eating habits you should endure a three-day water fast. Only drinking
water for three days is tough but can be rewarding. Just make sure you cut down
on your physical activity and take it easy.
After those three days are over you can begin eating one type of fruit or vegetable.
For instance, on the detox diet you can at breakfast eat as much melon as you
wish, but only eat melon. The same goes for lunch and dinner. Eat as much as
you want but only eat one type of fresh fruit or vegetable.
This may not sound appealing and you may feel some side effects like dizziness,
nausea or even irritability. This is completely natural, detox specialists claim.
You body has spent years accruing toxic material and it’s not going to disappear
over night.
After about a week on the detox diets, switch to an all fresh fruit and vegetable
diet. Do not cook the food, as that robs it of minerals and nutrients that are
obviously good for you. It also makes the food less fibrous, and of course fiber
aids in digestion and prevents colon cancer.
If you have done all of this you should feel healthier, slimmer, cleaner and,
well…less toxic.
