Depression Detox Diet
Over the course of your life you will accrue a ridiculous amount of toxins.
Most of us will carry these to our graves. Engaging in a detox diet is a great
way to cleanse your body of these nasty bits and pieces and hopefully make that
trip to the grave a long one.
This may sound a little depressing, but that is the effect toxins have on your
body. How healthy you are and how well your body processes what you put in it
can have a direct effect on your mood.
If you are feeling blue, try switching to an all-raw food diet. Naturally this
does not include meat or grains (which don’t really make healthy raw food).
Make juice at home with only fresh organic ingredients. If you are dying for
something hot try a herbal tea.
This will help clear out your liver and digestive system. The fiber in the
raw food will be the greatest laxative you will ever try. This may be a bit
embarrassing in the beginning (things can get a little ‘windy’) but after a
short period of time your body will adjust and the thought of eating a bacon
double cheeseburger will make you cringe. This will also reduce you risk of
colon cancer.
The no toxins diet will also have an affect on your liver, which is responsible
processing all of the toxins in your blood. There are loads of chemicals in
the food that we eat everyday. This includes colorings and preservative and
pesticides.
Your organs will be working half as hard. This will free up loads of energy
for physical activity and you’ll feel so much better that you’ll forget that
you were ever depressed.
