Blood Type Vs Diet
In the late 90’s some evidence began to surface that the type of blood you
have may influence how healthy you feel after eating certain foods. This theory
became known as the eat right 4 your type: blood diet type. For instance those
with O Type blood were encouraged to eats lots of meat and protein while those
with A type blood were instructed to avoid red meat entirely and focus on fruits
and vegetables. B and AB could eat most foods (including dairy, which is a definite
no-no for O’s and A’s) and should focus on dietary moderation.
What is most important to keep in mind here is that the blood type diet is
not a rapid weight loss diet. The program is designed to take you to you optimal
weight, which of course means something different for everyone. The blood type
diet focuses on maintaining a healthy body for your entire life. A side bar
to the blood type diet is a varied exercise regime that also depends on what
type of blood you have.
O type blood owners should concentrate on high-impact physical activity. This
includes running and team sports. Oddly, the blood type diet, recommends that
A type blood owners should avoid this and instead opt for low-impact activity
like yoga or walking. B and AB should do a combination of everything.
Some argue that the blood diet is not comprehensive enough as there are as
many as 30 different blood type variations. For instance there is no type O-negative
blood diet.
