Fitness profile / assessment
A fitness profile, also known as a fitness assessment is a questionnaire style
form that, is filled out with the help of a trained fitness instructor, to help
us understand and appreciate our current level of overall physical fitness and
form a starting base for building up our strength and endurance.
Our bodies are a mixture of muscle, bone and skin. These primary components
help us to function as human beings, helping us perform our daily chores and
ever more substantial tasks.
If we do not take care of our bodies our muscle and bones become weak and brittle,
affecting our ability to perform even that basic of tasks. It is important to
keep our body active and keep our muscle strengthened and toned. In essence
the body needs regular exercise
As children we kept our bodies physically active through sports with friends
and recess at school. However, as we age into adult hood it has become far more
difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle, with all the pressures of work and
modern day life.
Joining a gym is the most common method of keeping in shape for the majority
of people. Joining a gym can be fun and rewarding in terms of increasing your
physical fitness, however it also has a undeniable benefit in that it offers
you the chance to have a fitness profile or assessment of your general fitness
level, helping you to highlight weak points in your physical makeup.
